Module 5 Transition to Delegation This module describes the final steps required of an applicant for completion of the process, including execution of a registry agreement with ICANN and preparing for delegation of the new gTLD into the root zone. 5.1 Registry Agreement All applicants that have successfully completed the evaluation process—including, if necessary, the dispute resolution and string contention processes—are required to enter into a registry agreement with ICANN before proceeding to delegation. After the close of each stage in the process, ICANN will send a notification to those successful applicants that are eligible for execution of a registry agreement at that time. To proceed, applicants will be asked to provide specified information for purposes of executing the registry agreement: 1. Documentation of the applicant’s continued operations instrument (see Specification 8 to the agreement). 2. Confirmation of contact information and signatory to the agreement. 3. Notice of any material changes requested to the terms of the agreement. 4. The applicant must report: (i) any ownership interest it holds in any registrar or reseller of registered names, (ii) if known, any ownership interest that a registrar or reseller of registered names holds in the applicant, and (iii) if the applicant controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with any registrar or reseller of registered names.
